Shimano Overvliet from Alphen aan den Rijn is the man behind DJ Ovano. At the age of 12 he started making mixtapes recording house music, now called eurodance and gradually started buying vinyl, what followed was buying a mixer and 2 turntables and started to learn how to DJ at the age of 14.
In the late 90’s vinyl got replaced by cd’s I changed to allround dj to play at local clubs, and also become a drive in show dj. I Learned so much about entertaining different types of crowd. In 2015 I stopped allround DJ’ing, but still got the gear, and played some house tracks.
Nowadays again found my passion in tribal and Bigroom house. My previous experiences help me be different as a DJ. I love to interact and look at the crowd, I don’t pre-plan my sets, mostly picking my tracks on the fly. This makes, that my sets are always different and fresh.
